TRENTON — Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa announced today that more than 1,700 guns were turned in by Essex County residents during a state-sponsored gun buyback event held at a total of six churches in five Essex municipalities this past Friday and Saturday.

TRENTON – Two top officials of the East Orange Water Commission (EOWC) – the executive director and the assistant executive director – have been indicted for allegedly conspiring to manipulate the agency’s water supply by shutting down contaminated wells prior to monthly water tests so as to falsify results and report lower levels of a regulated contaminant in the drinking water supplied to customers, Attorney General Jeffrey S. ELIZABETH — Union County Superior Court Judge Joseph P. Donohue sentenced three Plainfield men to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison for a series of armed robbery and weapons offenses, announced Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
SPOTSWOOD – A borough woman has been arrested and charged with setting three fires, including a house fire that endangered two children who were home at the time, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Chief Karl G. Martin of the Spotswood Police Department announced today. The children were not injured.
