PERTH AMBOY—Starting next month, closing time at city bars will come an hour earlier. The Perth Amboy City Council unanimously approved a measure banning the sale of alcohol after 2 a.m. last week.

WOODBRIDGE – The Woodbridge Rotary Scholarship Foundation recently awarded scholarships totaling $40,000 to 24 township residents. Eight recipients were college students, while 16 were high school seniors.
CLARK—St. John the Apostle School in Clark held eighth grade graduation on Friday, June 5. Sister Donna Marie O’Brien awarded the diplomas to 48 graduates and Reverend Father Robert McBride presented the diplomas.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas—Air Force Airman Shondell L. Holmes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Holmes graduated in 2008 from Linden High School.
