EDISON – A new law authorizes the governing bodies of Edison Township, Metuchen Borough and South Plainfield Borough to adopt resolutions establishing a special commission to protect and preserve the Dismal Swamp.

ROSELLE PARK – Ibtisam Ali, a computer science major at Kean University and a resident of Roselle Park, recently was awarded the 2009 Tri-State Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA) Scholarship. Ali received the scholarship during an AAAEA awards dinner in Fort Lee, N.J., on October 17.
