EASTON, Pa. – Several Union County students graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. and were among 555 undergraduate students awarded 573 degrees at the college’s 174th Commencement Saturday, May 23.
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Four Westfield students graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree on May 17.
LINDEN—The Infineum Bayway Chemical Plant located in Linden was recently re-certified as an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) STAR site for its safety and health programs. Infineum’s Linden Plant is one of only 56 sites in New Jersey to currently hold this prestigious certification.

WOODBRIDGE – Mayor John E. McCormac announced Tuesday that the Woodbridge Township Police Department responded to 43 complaints of illegal fireworks on July 4th, issued three summonses to residents identified as possessing illegal fireworks, and confiscated more than 1,000 pounds of illegal fireworks from various locations throughout the township.
HOLMDEL – Due to unexpected demand, the Corzine campaign is moving a July 16th rally to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. President Barack Obama is scheduled to join Gov. Jon Corzine at the rally, which was originally going to be held at Rutgers University in New Brunswick.

TRENTON – Attorney General Anne Milgram announced Tuesday that 31 defendants have been indicted in connection with bank fraud schemes orchestrated by members and associates of the Bloods street gang involving more than $654,000 in counterfeit checks, which resulted in the theft of more than $341,000 from eight banks.
