RAHWAY — The RWJ Rahway Foundation will hold its 20th Anniversary Fashion Show on Nov. 5 at the Bridgewater Marriott. The committee invites community members to join with them, board members, physicians and hospital staff for an afternoon of fun, fashion and fundraising.
ELIZABETH – The United Ways of Central Jersey, Hudson, Greater Mercer, Monmouth and Greater Union counties announced that they have joined together for a summer “Stuff The Bus” drive to provide school supplies to the children in their communities.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — New Jersey will receive $997,324 from the land and water conservation fund, according to Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, who announced $37.4 million in state grants to establish and renovate parks and open spaces throughout the nation.
DOVER – Six students from Union County are among more than 200 who received diplomas from Dover Business College during the school’s summer commencement ceremony held July 16, according to college President Timothy D. Luing.
CRANFORD – The Cranford Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the 50th annual Pride in Cranford Awards dinner, which will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6–9:30 p.m. at the Galloping Hill Inn, 325 Chestnut Street in Union.
EDISON – The Edison Township Public Library Board of Trustees will hold the remainder of their 2011 meetings at the main library on the following Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.: Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. The trustees used to meet on Tuesdays.
