SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Middlesex County is sponsoring free composting workshops in South Brunswick later this month.
EDISON — A musical performance, poetry reading, theater trip and a game show are all scheduled for the celebration of Women’s History Month at Middlesex County College in March. All except the theater trip are free and will be held in the College Center on the Edison campus.
CLARK – Pastor Gerry Gregoire will celebrate his fourth year leading Jesus the Rock Fellowship this month. The independent, full gospel, Bible-based Christ-centered church meets in the facilities of Prayer & Praise Fellowship at 2 Denman Avenue in Clark.
CRANFORD – The Cranford Chamber of Commerce is organizing a bus trip to see the Broadway musical “Catch Me If You Can” on Sunday, May 22.
NEW BRUNSWICK – Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey is calling citizens across the state to help tackle child abuse at NJ’s Elegant Tailgate Party being held at The New Meadowlands Stadium on May 4, at 6:30pm, to raise funds to end child abuse and support prevention programs across the state.
RAHWAY — Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently held a “Writers’ Roundtable Challenge”. Students in grades three, four and five were invited to participate in this principal’s writing initiative. They were required to write an essay based on a speculative prompt: A New School Rule.
MADISON — Drew University has named the following students to its Dean’s List for the Fall 2010 semester:
RAHWAY – Madison School in Rahway recently completed the 100th day of the school year. To mark the occasion, kindergarten and first grade students created posters and participated in other activities to represent the number 100.
RAHWAY — Seventh grade students at Rahway Middle School recently tried their hand at advertising by creating travel brochures. After studying the Titanic disaster, they designed a brochure to persuade unsuspecting first class passengers to travel on the maiden voyage of the legendary ship.
