MIDLOTHIAN, VA—The New Jersey City University women’s bowling team completed a perfect weekend in Virginia by winning five more matches and posted dominant results in Baker play to vault from seventh place to second overall among 20 schools on the final day of the Jeannette Lee Invitational hosted by St. Paul’s College on December 6.
ROSELLE – The 27th annual George T. Cron High School Hockey Tournament will begin Monday evening, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. at the Warinanco Ice Skating Center in Roselle. Eight of the best high school hockey teams in New Jersey will compete at the Warinanco rink, located in Warinanco Park.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Linden’s Muhammad Wilkerson, a sophomore defensive tackle for the Temple Owls, was named to the All-Mid-American Conference first team last week. He was one of a record eight players from the college to be so honored.
UNION – Junior Jonathan Jones of Linden was named the Kean Athlete of the Week on Nov. 30, following a 2-1 week for the Cougars.

EDISON – The Middlesex County College women’s basketball team defeated Sussex County Community College, 63-50, on Dec. 1. Middlesex is now 3-2 overall and 3-0 in the Garden State Conference.
SOUTH ORANGE – Seton Hall announced yesterday that junior guard Keon Lawrence (Newark, N.J.) will be activated from suspension and will return to the men’s basketball team upon the completion of the current academic semester.
NEWARK – Sophomore Herb Pope (Aliquippa, Pa) posted his fourth straight double-double with 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting, 11 rebounds, and added five blocks to lead the Seton Hall men’s basketball team to a 93-53 victory over NJIT on Monday night.
