JERSEY CITY—The New Jersey Athletic Conference monkey is finally off the back of the New Jersey City University women’s soccer team. Sophomore striker JULIA CASERES (Union, NJ/Union), the Division III national leader in goals, posted a hat trick against her former team to lead the Gothic Knights to an emotional, 5-1 rout of rival Rutgers-Newark, in an NJAC game on Saturday at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field, in front of more than 300 fans.

Montclair State Hits .340, Tops New Jersey City Volleyball

JERSEY CITY—Montclair State University had three starters hit .500 or better and the Red Hawks collected a team percentage of .340 to claim a 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-18) victory over New Jersey City University, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match on Thursday night on Coach Charlie Brown Court at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center.

NJCU And Kean Tie, 2-2

JERSEY CITY—New Jersey City University took leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but Kean tied the game just 58 seconds before halftime and neither team scored again as the Gothic Knights and Cougars tied, 2-2, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game on Wednesday afternoon at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field.

Esposito Hat Trick Lifts Kean Past NJCU Women, 3-0

UNION—Kean University sophomore forward Danielle Esposito (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) notched a hat trick to account for the entire offensive output for the Cougars, and despite 11 saves by Gothic Knight junior keeper KELLY REILLY (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville Memorial), Kean blanked NJCU, 3-0, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference women’s soccer game on Wednesday night at Kean Alumni Stadium.
