RAHWAY—Students from Susan Bechelli’s class at Grover Cleveland School visited Riverton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and dyed eggs with the residents. They shared conversation, snacks and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
COLONIA—Members of the NJ STARS League at Middlesex County College assisted at the Eighth Annual Easter Parade and Egg Hunt March 27 to benefit a Colonia family who had fallen on hard times.
RAHWAY—Susan Bechelli’s fifth grade class at Grover Cleveland School recently held their annual egg drop competition. The contest is an experiment where students attempt to create packaging that can keep a raw chicken egg intact when dropped from a height.
RAHWAY—Venisha Jordan was named teacher of the 2010-2011 school year at Franklin School in Rahway.
STATE—Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD, recently announced that students from Union and Middlesex counties have been inducted into national honor societies at Berkeley College.
EDISON—The Middlesex County College Nursing Program has been accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The program was accredited the first year it was eligible, which is after the first class has graduated.
