RAHWAY—On Wednesday, April 28, Roosevelt Elementary School in Rahway hosted the GT District Battle of the Books. Third and fourth grade gifted and talented students form the four elementary schools competed.
RAHWAY—Third grade students at Franklin School in Rahway are in the process of studying all about the solar system. Students learned interesting facts the planets, the sun and even observed the moon.
SCOTCH PLAINS – Union Catholic High School freshman Arnold Majano of Rahway has been selected as this year’s recipients of the Sandra Stagg Memorial Scholarship.
ELIZABETH—They were all thumbs – green thumbs that is at Elizabeth Public Schools’ Ronald Reagan Academy School No. 30. On Earth Day, Luann Breese’s fourth and fifth grade classes headed to the school garden to plant peas, broccoli, marigolds and so much more.
LINDEN—Students in Suzanne Bramante’s first grade class at School No.8 worked on a How-To-Do writing unit. Reading Coach Linda Castaldo worked with Bramante and her class by reading How-to-Do Books of many different authors.
EDISON — On Earth Day, April 22, first graders at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in North Edison visited the trees on campus to measure their circumference in inches and centimeters with tape measures.

[ribbon] ELIZABETH—Benedictine Academy, an all-female Catholic college prep high school in Elizabeth, has released its third quarter honor roll. Thirty-five exemplary students at the academy were named based on outstanding academic performance.
ELIZABETH – Select junior class members of the Benedictine Academy were inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society on April 15.
