MADISON -- Drew University has named the following students to its Dean's List for the Spring 2011 semester:
WESTFIELD – The Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), based in Philadelphia, Pa., announced that Westfield High School in Westfield, accredited since 1928, recently earned re-accreditation through the Commission on Secondary Schools.
RAHWAY – Second grade students at Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently studied the life cycle of insects.
YOUNG MAN IN CHARGE ... Matthew Raymonds of Warren, a second grader at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, enjoyed his role as Lower School Head for the Day on May 20.
EDISON -- A total of 1,042 students were named to the Dean’s List for Spring 2011 at Middlesex County College. The list includes students from the following areas.
EDISON – The Edison Rotary Club honored its students of the year at the Scholarship Awards Dinner held on May 12 at the Pines Manor in Edison.
ELIZABETH –Recently, the Washington Post announced the listing of the top high schools in the nation. According to the Post, Elizabeth High School is ranked No. 2 in New Jersey (trailing only Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School in Jersey City) and No. 176 in the nation.
CLARK -- The Clark community recently enjoyed a musical performance by the Arthur L. Johnson High School Concert Band, Jazz Band and Chorus in the school’s auditorium.
CLIFTON – Several Union and Middlesex county students were among the 400 that received diplomas from the Clifton and Dover campuses of Dover Business College last month.
CLARK – Several veterans recently visited Valley Road School in Clark for a service to commemorate Memorial Day and the sacrifices of all whom served in the armed forces.
