TRENTON – A title company owner has pleaded guilty to criminal charges for stealing a total of $5.3 million entrusted to him as a settlement agent to pay off multiple mortgage loans in connection with real estate closings he handled, Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman announced.

WESTFIELD — Volunteers at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westfield are gearing up to receive and sort a plethora of books in many categories for the 26th annual Giant Book Sale in the church’s Parish Hall.
WESTFIELD — On Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m., Majestic Winds, the professional wind band of the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts, will perform a fall concert at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. This performance will take place in Westfield at 229 Cowperthwaite Place.
WESTFIELD — Gallery U Boutique in Westfield is planning a Halloween evening masquerade from 6-9 p.m. to celebrate the opening of its new exhibition “Something Wicked This Way Comes: Artwork Celebrating the Gothic and Beautifully Macabre.” All are welcome, and those who come in costume will have a chance to win prizes.
