LINDEN—The Lunchbox Derby at Linden School No. 6 was a science extension of the fifth grade science kit Motion and Design. Students had to create a working vehicle out of assorted fruits or vegetables.
RAHWAY—Kindergarten students at Roosevelt School in Rahway recently read the book “Elmer” by David McKee. The book is about a bright-colored patchwork elephant named Elmer.
LINDEN—Hispanic heritage students in Mrs. Rodriguez’s class recently created the Linden High School Hispanic Art gallery. Students studied the lives and works of various Hispanic artists. Each student replicated the work of their chosen artist with acrylics on a canvas medium.
CALDWELL—Caldwell College recently named 321 students to the fall 2009 Dean’s list, according to Paul Douillard, Ph.D., Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs.
RAHWAY—Rahway Middle School eighth graders have been studying the properties of matter in their science classes. As an investigation, students applied heat to a variety of substances and observed the changes made in the substances’ appearance during and after heating.
RAHWAY—Rahway High School students Deandrea Jiggets, Theodore Robinson, Courtney Anderson and Joshanai Crutchfield attended the 2010 Diversity Council on High School Leadership held at Kean University on Feb. 19.

RAHWAY — In celebration of Black History Month, Donna Fidecaro’s class at Roosevelt School in Rahway performed a play, “KC’s Dream” by Brenda B. Covert.
RAHWAY—Roosevelt School in Rahway recently hosted full day of hands-on activities to introduce science concepts related to renewable energy to all third grade gifted and talented students in the district.
