Volunteer Group To Hold February Training Class

WESTFIELD—CONTACT We Care, Inc., a 24-hour caring and crisis hotline, will begin a comprehensive 36-hour volunteer training class on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 170 Elm Street in Westfield. The class will meet weekly until mid-May.

MOUNTAINSIDE—Recognizing that 24 years of pounding hooves have taken their toll at Union County’s Watchung Stables, the facility is slated to get a new main ring under a plan approved by the Board of Freeholders.

College Financial Aid Workshop

MOUNTAINSIDE — A free parent-student college workshop entitled, “College Financial Aid/FAFSA” will take place from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at the Mountainside Public Libary. The workshop will provide a complete overview of the financial aid process.
