STATE – Republican Gov. Chris Christie crushed Democrat Barbara Buono in the gubernatorial race, with the Associated Press calling the race moments after the polls closed at 8 p.m. However, Christie’s coattails were not long enough to give Republicans control of either house in the Legislature.
BERKELEY HEIGHTS – “Craft Day in the Barn” on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the newly renovated historic Masker’s Barn, nestled in the woodsy Deserted Village in the Watchung Reservation, will feature two different workshops – one in the morning for adults only; the other in the afternoon for families – that give participants a chance to get ready for the holidays by making their own crafts.
