WOODBRIDGE-Woodbridge is thought to be named for the Rev. John Woodbridge of Newbury, Massachusetts, the town from which the Puritan settlers who chartered the community in 1669 came. MIDDLESEX COUNTY -- The Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders will proclaim April as “Sexual Assault Awareness Month” (SAAM) at its regular meeting tonight. The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to teach communities and individuals how to prevent sexual violence.
