Hilliard Celebrates 30 Years At Perth Amboy Church


PERTH AMBOY – The small red brick church in Perth Amboy named Second Baptist Church had a membership of 125 in 1983 when Rev. Donald Hilliard, Jr., was called to the helm as pastor. It is now 30 years later and the senior pastor, Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr., is celebrating a journey encompassing achievements and challenges that positions him as one of New Jersey’s notable leaders.

Saint Mary’s of Perth Amboy Class of 1958 Celebrated 55th Reunion


PERTH AMBOY – Saint Mary’s High School Class of 1958 recently held a dinner dance reunion.

Their high school cheerleader, Betty Ann Siewarga, danced in a 1958-style poodle skirt with a top and shoes to match. A fellow graduate, Mike Bonechak, provided the live music of the 1950s starting off by singing the prom theme some “cherry pink and apple blossom white.”

The award recognizes Raritan Bay Medical Center’s (RBMC) commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted guidelines. This marks the fourth year that RBMC has been recognized with a quality achievement award.
