DEP Announces New Brownfield Development Area Designations To Help Towns Achieve Redevelopment Goals

TRENTON – Department of Environmental Protection Acting Commissioner Mark N. Mauriello announced Tuesday that portions of Lodi, Kearny, Plainfield, Rahway, Somerville and Woodbridge have been designated as state Brownfield Development Areas. The new designations will help these municipalities work toward their redevelopment goals.

Woodbridge Officials Walk Kids To School

WOODBRIDGE—On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Woodbridge Township Mayor John McCormac, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Crowe walked several Woodbridge students to Lynn Crest School as part of National Walk Our Children To School Day. The walk was initiated to teach children about pedestrian safety and talk about simple ways to keep healthy.

Trinity Church To Hold Health Fair

WOODBRIDGE—Trinity Episcopal Church will be sponsoring a health fair on Saturday, Nov. 7, in conjunction with J.F. Kennedy Hospital of Edison. The free event will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the parish hall of the church, located at 650 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge.
