EDISON –A Flu Defense Clinic at Menlo Park Mall will run each weekend from Oct. 10, through Nov. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays, providing vaccinations for seasonal flu, pneumonia and H1N1, while supplies last.
EDISON—An open house for prospective Middlesex County College students and their families will be held on the Edison campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1 in the College Center.
NEW BRUNSWICK—A Plainfield man was found guilty today of felony murder in the shooting of a South Plainfield man, who was killed during a plot to rob him in his home, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan announced.
EDISON—In an effort to keep the public informed about the seasonal flu and the novel H1N1 flu, also known as the swine flu, Edison Township has launched two web sites with educational content, preventative tips and vaccination information.
EDISON—On the morning of Friday, Oct. 2, Ayna Agarwal of Colonia, a senior at the Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, was the focus of a Nickelodeon News segment about her organization SPOT (Stop Over Population Together) Globally, which works to end the over-population of animals on a global scale.
TRENTON – Department of Environmental Protection Acting Commissioner Mark N. Mauriello announced Tuesday that portions of Lodi, Kearny, Plainfield, Rahway, Somerville and Woodbridge have been designated as state Brownfield Development Areas. The new designations will help these municipalities work toward their redevelopment goals.
WOODBRIDGE—On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Woodbridge Township Mayor John McCormac, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Crowe walked several Woodbridge students to Lynn Crest School as part of National Walk Our Children To School Day. The walk was initiated to teach children about pedestrian safety and talk about simple ways to keep healthy.
