State Theatre Ranked As Top Venue Of Its Size

NEW BRUNSWICK—In its year-end report of “Top Stops” for 2013, concert industry magazine, Venues Today, has announced that the State Theatre has been ranked as the #1 venue in the world in the 2,000 and under seat capacity category (December 2013 issue), based on concert and event grosses from Oct.16, 2012 to Oct.15, 2013.

Former NFL, MLB Players Inducted Into NJSIAA Bollinger Hall Of Fame

ROBBINSVILLE – A former National Football League player who was named the Prep Athlete of the Year while at Scotch Plains Fanwood High School and a former Major League Baseball player originally from New Brunswick are among seven Garden State sports luminaries recently inducted into the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Bollinger Hall of Fame’s class of 2013.

NEWARK – The State Division of Consumer Affairs and Division of Law within the Office of the Attorney General have filed suit against a company that allegedly took thousands of dollars in deposits and payments from individual consumers and then, among other things, failed to provide consumers with contracted-for home furniture and furnishings or delivered damaged or non-conforming home furniture and furnishings.

Celtic Woman Will Bring Christmas Show To State Theatre

NEW BRUNSWICK—State Theatre will present Celtic Woman: Home for Christmas, The Symphony Tour on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. The all-female Irish music quartet will be accompanied by a full symphony orchestra; the program will include songs from their hit Christmas albums including “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Silent Night,” “Carol of the Bells,” “White Christmas,” and more. Tickets range from $35-95.
