METUCHEN — Congregation Neve Shalom will present Scholar-In-Residence, Rabbi Burt Visotzky, professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary, on Friday evening, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7.
METUCHEN — A raccoon found in the vicinity of Oak Avenue and Maple Avenue in Metuchen has tested positive for rabies, according to the Middlesex County Office of Health Services. This is the 13th rabid animal reported within Middlesex County for 2013 and the third in Metuchen.

TRENTON – A Middlesex County jury found the primary owner and operator of a third-party insurance administrator guilty of stealing approximately half a million dollars from a trust fund that administered health insurance policies and prescription coverage for hundreds of employees and their families, Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman announced.
METUCHEN — Students at Campbell Elementary School in Metuchen participated in the International Walk to School Day, held on Wednesday, Oct. 9. While 233 students registered to participate in the event, an overwhelming number of students arrived to school with their parents, pets, and siblings via foot, bike, and skates.
METUCHEN — On Wednesday night, Oct. 23, under the guidance of their adviser Kerry Blaze, the Metuchen High School chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed 79 new members. Mr Peragallo opened the program and focused on service as he read a list of impressive accomplishments of this year’s inductees.
