NJ Senior Olympic Games Open Competition Saturday

WOODBRIDGE — Mayor John E. McCormac, the New Jersey Senior Olympic Committee, Senior Olympians and competing Senior athletes, and statewide elected officials will open the 2010 New Jersey Senior Olympic Games on Saturday, Sept. 11, during ceremonies outside the Woodbridge Community Center.

PERTH AMBOY — Kerry Dyke, a student at Perth Amboy Catholic School, has won a billboard contest held by The Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey. Dyke’s artwork, expressing the message “Choose a Bright Future, Avoid Alcohol” was selected from thousands of entries.

NJ To Receive Federal Funds To Fight Foreclosure Crisis

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s has awarded New Jersey communities $11,641,549 million in additional funding to help minimize the negative effects of the foreclosure crisis. This funding will be distributed through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant Neighborhood Stabilization Program third round of grants.
