EAST BRUNSWICK-The mall on Route 18 opened in the 1970s and is still a popular smaller enclosed mall. These stores were once in the mall: Amazon Café, Baker's Shoes, Betty's Bakery, The Bombay Company, Bun and Burger, Candle Hutch, Carlton Cards, Chess King, C.V.S., Dalton Books, Danskin, DEB, and Dr. Pets.
SOUTH AMBOY-On March 19, 1943, a St. Patrick's Day Party was held at Hoffman High School Auditorium under the auspices of South Amboy First Aid. Music was by the Nicorvo Orchestra. Proceeds were used for the Squad War Relief Fund. Admission was 50 cents.
