A 55-year-old Hunterdon County man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams.
Robert Drong was arrested Feb. 16 on a third-degree charge, said Williams.
“A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led to a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Forensic Unit and the Raritan Township Police Department,” said Williams. “On February 16, 2021, Robert Drong, age 55 of Flemington, was arrested and charged with 3rd degree Possession of child pornography.”
Drong lives in Raritan but he has a Flemington mailing address.
Williams issued a joint press release along with the prosecutor’s Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo, and Raritan Township Police Chief Al Payne that said, “Drong was released and is awaiting his first court appearance.”This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with relevant information regarding Mr. Drong is encouraged to call the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s at (908) 788-1129”
