Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was discharged from the hospital after being treated for a possible infection
“Justice Ginsburg has been discharged from the hospital,” said Kathleen Arberg, a Supreme Court spokesperson.
“She is home and doing well.”Ginsburg had been taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore early on Tuesday “after experiencing fever and chills,” said Arberg.
“The Justice is resting comfortably and will stay in the hospital for a few days to receive intravenous antibiotic treatment.”
Ginsburg’s quick recovery is the latest health scare for the 87-year-old justice, who has proven adept at continuing her job without interruption despite her advanced age and medical issues.
Arberg said Ginsburg underwent an endoscopic procedure at Johns Hopkins this afternoon to clean out a bile duct stent that was placed last August.
With Republicans on a crusade to outlaw abortion and curtail individual freedom in favor of expanding the liberty of the affluent and corporations, many Americans are hoping that Ginsburg’s health outlasts the President Donald Trump’s time in the White House.
Conservatives already have a tenuous 5 to 4 majority on the Supreme Court.
