Trump urged Israel to ban members of US Congress

Israel declared it would deny entry to Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar just hours after President Trump urged the Israeli government to exclude the two women who represent the American people in Congress.

The decision by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is an affront to American democracy, according to both Democrats and Republicans who spoke eabout the issue.

Trump has frequently neglected both American interests and values as he lashes out emotionally against critics, and he has often embraced foreign dictators.

Netanyahu has ordered Israeli soldiers to fire live ammunition into crowds of peaceful protesters, especially Palestinians demanding access at fenced-off areas on the West Bank and Gaza.

Tlaib and Omar, the first Muslim women elected to Congress, have be labeled as anti-semitic by critics when they have spoken out against such human rights abuses.
