Governor Phil Murphy is still going to great lengths to cover up details about how his administration hired the man who allegedly raped Katie Brennan while they were both volunteers on his 2017 campaign.
The governor’s staff was screening calls during a telephone town hall, hoping to hear from people who support legislation setting the minimum wage at $10 per hour in July.
A caller, who identified himself ad Anthony switched gears and asked the Governor, “Who hired Al Alvarez?”
Murphy was apparently expecting a completely different question.
“Not the question that you said you were going to ask, obviously,” the Governor responded.
Murphy told the caller to read a press release his put out about the scandal, that seems to absolve the governor and his administration of any wrongdoing but the question remains unanswered.
Trying to brush the matter under the rug is predictable but its not acceptable. New Jersey deserves an answer and Katie Brennan deserves justice.
Murphy’s press release does not tell the taxpayers who hired accused rapist Al Alvarez.
Murphy’s silence on the matter tells us what he thinks about the taxpayers.
