2 dead, 3 wounded in New Jersey weekend shootings

Two people are dead and three others injured in three separate New Jersey shootings that occurred in Newark, Trenton and Jersey City this weekend.

A man died and another and another was in stable condition after they were shot around 5:50 p.m. Saturday, in the vicinity of the Jesse Allen Park, the 100 block of Avon and Ridgewood avenues, in Newark.

Newark police said they are looking for one gunman and three other suspects.

At least two people were wounded shooting inside a Maple Avenue house in Trenton around 3 a.m. Sunday.

The victims were transported to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center, but there is no word yet on their conditions. Police are investigating.

A third person in less than three weeks was been shot and killed in the Greenville neighborhood of Jersey City.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said two arrests have been made in the death of Eric Crocker, the 23-year-old Bayonne man who was shot and killed Sept. 4.

No arrests have yet been made in the death of Jayden Fondeur, the 17-year-old Ferris High School student who was killed in a drive-by shooting just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
