Comic Show coming to Rahway

Rah-Con Cabin Fever Comic Show will be hosted by the Jersey Shore Comic Book Show.

“Got Cabin Fever? Well break out of the cabin and head on over to RAH!CON, hosted by the Jersey Shore Comic Book Show,” say organizers, who promise a convention atmosphere with vendors and guest artists, as well as cosplay and costume groups.

Writer Mark Poulton will appear, along with Freelance illustrator and Graphic Designer George Vega, Amber Keep Art and other guests, whose arrangements are in the works. The local chapter of the 501st Legion will be patrolling the premises.

Poulton is freelance comic book writer/children’s book author who most recently worked on Savage Hawkman for DC Comics and Avengelyne for Image Comics.

His children’s book, A Cat Named Haiku, was nominated for Best Single Issue Story in the 2011 Eagle Awards.

Vendors will have comics, paperbacks, graphic novels, toys, action figures, anime, manga, Pokemon, pop-culture, non-sport cards, craft items, collectibles and more.

The show will take place on Saturday, February 24 at from 10 am to 4 pm at St Thomas The Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church, located at 1405 Saint Georges Avenue in Rahway.
