“…ho-ho-move over…”

We all know this special time of year when shoppers hit their Amazon accounts and splurge on people they wouldn’t even think about the other 11 months out of the year…not to forget about those lists that kids nowadays pile up with every latest electronic gadget in the world…and expect to get them all…

We all know about that…and we all know…still for some…there are the holiday movies that delight one and all…’Miracle On 34th Street’…’Christmas In Connecticut’…’White Christmas’…’It Happened One Night’, and the more current classic, ‘A Christmas Story’…

But what about the hundreds of other titles that slip thru the cracks…well, that’s what i’m here for…

These aren’t classics by any stretch…but…they are amusing and harmless, and possibly could become favorites in your own collection…

And you may have heard of some…like ‘Call Me Clause’ starring Whoopi Goldberg…this film features Whoopi as a director of a home shopping network-type show, who needs a Santa for the season…but Santa shows up needing something from Whoopi as well…he needs her to take over for him…

Another one for a view is ‘Christmas Caper’ starring Shannen Doherty as a thief who has to make her presence less apparent in the big city, so she high-tails it out to the middle of nowhere to babysit her nephew and niece…Since this is also where she grew up, her past comes back to haunt, as well as, surprise her…

And another one is ‘Comfort And Joy’ starring Nancy McKeon as a woman who loses her memory in a car accident, only to find out that she has a different life than she thought…Instead of the fast-paced executive she was, now she’s a mom, with two kids, a husband, and a lower income bracket…Sweetness ensues…

Last but not least…throw in a bone for a classic that should be…’The Lemon Drop Kid’ starring Bob Hope…Hope stars as a shady individual who is being pursued by shadier individuals…But this tin pan alley character finds his heart of gold, as he helps others while helping himself…

Merry viewing…
