Former Roselle Councilman Ronald Hayman died on Thanksgiving Day, following an extended illness.
Hayman served as the Ward 2 councilman from 2012 to 2015 and after leaving that office, was employed by the Roselle Board of Education and the borough.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help the family says, “Donations are being requested for the homegoing services of our beloved Brother Ronald Hayman.”
Funeral arrangements are being made by Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church located at 1002 Rivington St, in Roselle. A viewing on Wednesday, November 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., will be followed by a memorial service on Thursday, November 30, at 11 a.m.

The former councilman, whose father was also a city official, was married to Roberta Kim James-Hayman. Hundreds of people have flooded social media channels with condolences.
Hayman was a Howard University alumni who graduated from the School of Communications in 1982.
His father, also named Ronald Hayman, who died April 25, 1994, was also councilman in the borough and he was the Democratic nominee for mayor in 1991, but he was defeated in the general election by Joseph F. Safaryn.
