The Friends of the Metuchen Library invite the public to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.
The beautiful Christmas Tree and Creche will be on display to celebrate the holiday season and a new and rare exhibit of Michelangelo works are featured for viewing along with the Met’s world famous collections.
A bus will depart from the back of the library, at Library Place in Metuchen, promptly at 9:30 a.m. however, sponsors ask that riders be on the bus by 9:00 to take advantage of the best traffic conditions.
Safe, on-street parking is available on Library Place and other streets close to the library.
The trip will cost $75 per person, which covers transportation, the entry fee to the museum and a gratuity for the bus driver. Riders may leave personal items on the bus while at the museum.
Payment is due by November 30, by check or money order, payable to the Friends of the Metuchen Library. No cash will be accepted.
No refunds will be made for cancellations so buyers unable to attend are encouraged to sell unused tickets to people on the waiting list or on your own.
Present payment by Nov. 20 at the main desk of the Metuchen Library and be sure to add your name to the trip list.
Lunch can be purchased in the museum’s cafeteria or pricier full-service restaurant. Audio earphones are available for $4. The return trip will leave New York City promptly at 4:30 p.m. so riders are advised to be on the bus by 4:20.
