This free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at VFW Post 4699, located 575 Jernee Mill Road in Sayreville.
The fair will include potential employers holding on-site interviews, in addition to one-on-one resume assessment and review sessions, and training providers
from in-demand occupations such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, logistics, & distribution, retail/hospitality, and financial services.
Career counselors will also be available to review resumes and provide information about vocational
training programs and job matching services.
Veterans Representatives from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development will be on hand to assist veterans and their families on how
to receive priority service at local Career One-Stop Centers.
There also will be information on housing and social services for veterans and their families, and representatives from several County agencies including Aging and Disabled Services, Human Services, and Veterans Services will be there to discuss various
public assistance programs.
“This is a great opportunity not only for veterans to find employment, but to learn about the many services that are available to them in Middlesex County,”
said Freeholder Kenneth Armwood, chair of the county’s Business Development and Education Committee. “I hope many of our veterans and their families will attend.”
