A Texas megachurch preacher and radio/TV evangelist who calls himself a Christian says President Donald Trump would be justified to unleash a nuclear attack on North Korea.

God has given Trump the “authority to take out Kim Jong-Un,” according to the Rev. Robert Jeffress, Jr. of the 13,000-member First Baptist Church in Dallas, who is one of the president’s top conservative evangelical advisers.

Jeffress’ statement on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, after the president warned that North Korea would “be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen” if it attacks the United States.

Previously, Jeffress provoked a national controversy October 7, 2011, when he said former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s Mormonism contradicts the teachings of Jesus Christ.

However, the Texas megachurch preacher does not see a conflict between the annihilation of millions of innocent Koreans and teachings of the Galilean pacifist who issued a commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself,” performed healing miracles freely and would not allow his apostles to use violence to defend him from crucifixion.

Jeffress has been an outspoken Trump supporter since early in the presidential campaign and he is one of dozens of conservative evangelical leaders who has enjoyed unprecedented access to White House policy makers.

In his latest statement, Jeffress said he believed the Bible makes clear that “God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary — including war — to stop evil.”

The deluded religious leader praised Trump for not tolerating North Korea’s threats while panning previous administrations’ “sheepish stance toward dictators and oppressors.”

The hypocritical Christian, who claims to believe that every word of the Bible is literally true, has made other irresponsible, controversial and insulting remarks about gays, Muslims, Catholics and others.

“President Obama is not the Antichrist,” but he “is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist,” said Jeffress, on the Sunday before the 2012 election. “One reason I know he’s not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes.”

“The deep, dark, dirty secret of Islam: It is a religion that promotes pedophilia – sex with children. This so-called prophet Muhammad raped a 9-year-old girl – had sex with her,” he said.

He is also vocally anti-Catholic, saying in 2010, “Much of what you see in the Catholic Church today doesn’t come from God’s Word, it comes from that cult-like, pagan religion … isn’t that the genius of Satan?”

Jeffress also defended Trump after a 2005 audio was leaked although he also said, “these statements were lewd, offensive and indefensible.”
