The annual Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) commemoration at Kean University in New Jersey will take place on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 6:45 PM at the university’s Wilkins Theatre for the Performing Arts, located at 1000 Morris Ave., in Union.
The Hon. Prof. Irwin Cotler, P.C., O.C., former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, will speak about “Anti-semitism Then and Now.” He is also the founder and chair of the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.
Other featured speakers include Bernard and Henry Schanzer, identical twins who were born in Belgium and fled to France, where they found sanctuary with righteous rescuers during the Holocaust.
