Beloved Roselle Crossing Guard Retires

rosellecrossingguardFor over 10 years, Mr. James has helped the children of Leonard V. Moore Middle School and pedestrians safely cross the streets of Roselle.

James was honored by the school administration in a special afternoon ceremony for his dedicated service. Student body, staff and administrators presented the retiring crossing guard with a card of thanks for a job well done on his final day on the job. The card was colorfully rendered with simple heartfelt messages and drawings.

“Mr. James has been a pillar of the L.V. Moore community for years and we are grateful for his service and dedication. Although we regret his departure, we wish him well on his retirement. He will be missed,” sid Craig Messmer, principal of Leonard V. Moore Middle School expressing appreciation for decades of service.

The school will be assigned a new crossing guard to take over where James left off. The students and faculty look forward to welcoming the new member to the L.V. family but recognize that they have some enormous shoes to fill.
