Linden police nab bomb suspect

Union County and Linden police departments have apprehended two suspects involved in recent bombing attempts in Elizabeth, as well as explosions in Seaside Park and New York City.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, a United States citizen who was born in Afghanistan, was identified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation want to bring in for questioning in connection with Saturday’s explosions.

The FBI also searched an apartment at 104 Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth, where Rahami’s father and brother reside.

Rahami was wanted for questioning in connection with an explosion that occurred on September 17, 2016, at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 135 West 23rd Street, New York, New York, as well as a blast that ripped through a trash can near the Boardwalk in Seaside earlier in the day.
