Cory Booker, a Democratic senator from New Jersey, signed a book deal with Ballantine Bantam Dell.

United, due out in January, will be Booker’s vision of how to revitalize the American dream and will share insight into his policy ideas.

“We’ve advanced to where we are today thanks to countless Americans who united together with an unrelenting determination to overcome challenges, seize opportunities and leave our country a better place for the next generation,” Booker said in a statement. “I am excited to have the opportunity to share stories and ideas that I believe are important if we as a nation are to continue to advance together.”

Booker is a former Stanford football player, Rhodes Scholar and Yale Law graduate who quickly rose in politics from councilman then mayor of Newark to Senator.

“He embodies a new kind of public servant, and his message of progress through compassion and connection is one we all need to hear and embrace,” Ballantine Bantam Dell publisher Libby Mcguire said in a news release.
