Edison police seek witnesses to hit & run accident

EDISON —  Township police are seeking the public’s help to find the driver of a passenger vehicle that struck and seriously injured a 31-year-old bicyclist late Sunday night.


The bicyclist, an Edison resident, was badly injured in what police describe as a serious hit-and-run accident at 11:20 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Avenue and Route 1.


The victim, whose identify has not been released, was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with multiple broken bones and possible internal injuries, police said.


Officers from the Police Department’s accident investigation team are seeking potential witnesses to this accident and hope to receive an accurate description of the vehicle that allegedly fled the scene. Anyone with information should please call (732) 248-7400.
