The Rail House and Union County Performing Arts Center will be hosting the inaugural Rahway Bands and Brews, a combination of independent rock bands and highly rated craft beers that sponsors hope will be a yearly event.
The event will take place in front of the Rahway Train Station on Saturday, September 13 with two sound stages, ten bands and continuous music all afternoon. Concessions including food trucks, arts and crafts and local businesses will also be staged within the party grounds.
New Jerseyans will quench their thirst on original sounds and suds while enjoying the festive atmosphere of Rahway’s Arts District. The event is being organized by the Rail House Bar located at 1443 Irving St, Rahway.
The bands on this top notch roster include Graveyard Lovers, The Ugly Club, DEVI, The Downrights, Modern Chemistry, XNY, The Rooftop, Brien McVernon and the Blackouts, Gay Guy/Straight Guy and Harley Black. The event will be hosted by Khalil Kairos and many special guests are expected.
Representatives from the four sponsoring brewers will be on hand to meet their fans, including Pat Fondiller, of Smuttynose Brewing Company of Hampton New Hampshire; Ryan Staats, of Founders Brewing Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Mark Sljukic, from Lagunitas Brewing Company of Petaluma, California; and John Guhring of Abita Brewing Company of Abita Springs, Louisiana.
