31st Annual Golf Classic slated for September 15

RAHWAY — RWJ Rahway Foundation will host its 31st Annual Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 15, beginning at 10:30am, at the Echo Lake Country Club, Westfield.

Rick Parker, a foundation trustee, said that the honorary golf chairman is Jim O’Connor, national practice leader for CBIZ/EAO Benefits, which is the 2014 Title Sponsor.

Parker, executive director for CBIZ KA Consulting Services LLC, has served on the golf committee for many years, serving as honorary chairman in 2008 and now as co-chairman with Kevin Headd, retired golf pro at Oak Hill Golf Club, has served as the golf committee’s co-chair for the past 15 years.

Also serving on the committee are RWJ Rahway Foundation President, Marlene H. Lubinger; Foundation Vice Chairperson, Bernice “Bunny” Bowen; Michele Chen, foundation secretary; Bonnie Josephs; Michael Widmer, foundation chairman, executive vice president, Northfield Bank and 2007 honorary chairman.

Foundation Trustees Chris Flynn and Roberta Geyer are also on the committee along with Dr. Michael Bernstein, director of Emergency Services at RWJ Rahway; Kevin Chmura, Aergo Solutions; Dave DePierro, Sodexo Food & Environmental Services general manager at RWJ Rahway; Dave Kern, administrator, Rahway Regional Cancer Center.

Other members are Jeff Kowalczyk, connections personnel; John Moore, senior vice president, Willis; Lou Sgrizzi, senior vice president, Sodexo and the 2006 Honorary Chairman; Kirk C. Tice, President and CEO, RWJ Rahway, Kevin Kramer, RWJ Rahway vice president Legal Affairs & General Counsel; Michael Maiale, vice president Strategy & Market Development, RWJ Rahway; Victor Sanotsky, RWJ Rahway director perioperative services and Robert White, director of clinical services, RWJ Rahway.

Proceeds will benefit Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway to help continue providing health care services for patients and the community.

Golfers will have the opportunity to compete in two special contests – a putting contest sponsored by Emergency Medical Associates of NJ and a Chipping Contest, sponsored by Station Cab. They will also have the opportunity to win hole-in-one prizes of his and hers Rolex watches, sponsored by Martin Jewelers, Cranford, and $10,000 cash, sponsored by Northfield Bank.

Other upcoming events incluude the 23rd Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Bridgewater Marriott and the 26th Annual Rose Ball, Saturday, April 25, 2015, in the The Wilshire Grand, West Orange.
