Unsolved murder victim remembered

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible for the killing. Anyone with information should call Sgt. Dean Marcantonio of the prosecutor’s office’s homicide task force at (908) 527-4699.

Family members remember the unsolved May 2009 killing of a 24-year-old Jennea Workman, whose body was found five years ago at her Cambridge Court apartment.

RAHWAY — Family members of Jennea Workman, friends and social justice advocates will gather Thursday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the unsolved murder victim’s death.

The candle light vigil will begin Thursday, May 8 at 7 pm at Cambridge Court apartments, at West Main Street and Elizabeth Avenue, in Rahway according to her uncle, Kevin Brister.

The problem of unsolved murders and other crimes, particularly among poor and working class communities, is a stark contrast with harsh enforcement for such minor offenses as traffic violations and marijuana possession.
