STATE — Assemblyman Jerry Green, chairman of the Union County Democratic Committee, said the regular political organization will support Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman in the race for the Democratic nomination to represent the 12th Congressional District.

Green’s choice means Watson-Coleman’s name will most likely appear in the same column as US Sen. Cory Booker and most incumbent Democrats on the primary election ballot.

“This is one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make since becoming chairman,” said Green. “I’ve served with all three candidates in the legislature.”
