RAHWAY- City Councilman Bob Bresenhan issued a plea to fellow area residents to support “Rahway Food for Friends” by contributing canned goods and or a monetary contribution to this important organization.
“Rahway Food for Friends is so vital to many in our community and relies on the support of the local community at large,” Bresenhan said. “This wonderful organization is servicing in excess of 200 families a month via the Food Pantry Program and we as caring, compassionate neighbors should help make sure their cupboards are not bare,” he continued.
Bresenhan added, “The reality is that the need for food has increased in the community yet funding has decreased because of downsizing and closing of local businesses that formerly supported this organization.” This 100% volunteer program receives minimal donations and needs your help in feeding the community.
