Linden High School Student Killed In Car Crash

LINDEN – Oscar Florczyk, an 18-year-old senior at Linden High School, was killed Monday night when his car ran off the northbound lane of the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 138.9 and struck several trees before catching fire, authorities said.

“The Linden School Community is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Linden High School senior, Oscar Florczyk. The district extends its heartfelt condolences to Oscar’s family during this difficult time,” said Superintendent Dr. Danny A. Robertozzi in a statement.

The district made counseling support available at Linden High School this week for students and staff members, according to Robertozzi.
