CRANFORD—The Friends of the Cranford Public Library is sponsoring “Beatles & Bubblegum,” a one-hour children’s concert that will take place at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m.

Admission to the program is free but tickets are required. Free tickets are available from the Children’s Room at the Cranford Public Library, 224 Walnut Avenue. The “Beatles & Bubblegum” show is just in time for the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first visit to the U.S.A., which occurred in February 1964. The program is a fun and interactive performance for kids and families that explores the music of the Fab Four and the bubblegum artists of the 60s and 70s, such as the Monkees and the Archies.

The show features Ray “Stingray” Leone, the front-man and lead singer of the critically acclaimed, kid-friendly rock band Starfish.  For questions about the program, please call the Cranford Public Library Children’s Room at 908-709-7272, ext. 2103, or email the library at library@cranfordnj.org.
