CRANFORD – Veteran broadcaster Bernie Wagenblast has launched Cranford Radio, a new internet station that aims to bring the sounds of the town’s people and businesses to your computer, smartphone and tablet.

In addition to providing news and information, Cranford Radio will also be available as a resource
for those who have an interest in learning about radio. To learn more, visit CranfordRadio.com.

Wagenblast’s first taste of local broadcasting came at WJDM in Elizabeth where he covered city council and board of education meetings around eastern Union County, as well as serving as a news anchor. He was one of the original on-air reporters for the New York City office of Shadow Traffic in 1979 and today is on the air delivering traffic reports on 1010 WINS in New York and New Jersey 101.5. He can also be heard as the voice of the AirTrain at Newark and JFK airports and tells millions daily when their train will arrive on the NYC subways.
