Rahway Talent Show Auditions Set For Jan. 17

RAHWAY — The City of Rahway Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a second round of auditions for the Annual Rahway Recreation Talent Show on Friday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Rahway Recreation Center, 275 East Milton Avenue, Mayor Samson D. Steinman announced. The department is seeking talented adults and children ages 8 and up, including musicians and vocalists in all genres as well as comedians, dancers and other performers.

A professional sound system, microphones and a CD/MP3 player will be provided. Musicians must bring other instruments if needed and singers must provide a CD or MP3 without vocals. Performers who are selected for the show will work with professional coaches to polish their acts before the final performance which will be held on Friday, March 28, at the Hamilton Stage in Rahway.

There is no fee to audition. The Annual Rahway Recreation Talent Show is a professional level production and alumni of past shows have gone to perform or audition for American Idol and other programs.
