ROSELLE — A 17-year-old Linden resident was arrested and charged with shooting a 20-year-old man on Saturday night outside a party at St. George Avenue and Victory Street.

Roselle police detectives filed juvenile complaints charging the suspect with one count of attempted murder and two weapons offenses.

Roselle Police Lt. James Loprete said the victim was struck by two of five bullets fired by the gunman at about 11 p.m. on Dec. 28.

The victim was released after being treated at University Hospital in Newark.

The suspect is being held at the Union County Juvenile Detention Center in Linden.
