Diocese To Hold Day Of Prayer For Victims Of Typhoon Haiyan

PISCATAWAY – A Day of Prayer and celebration of “Fiesta de los Niños Inocentes” in honor of all Typhoon Haiyan victims will be held Saturday, Dec. 28,on the grounds of Resurrection Cemetery, Hoes Lane and Park Avenue, Piscataway.

A 9:30 a.m. Mass of Remembrance will be offered for all who died and have suffered as a result of the deadly typhoon that hit Southeast Asia last month, claiming nearly 6,000 lives in the Philippines.

During the liturgy, celebrated by Rev. Gerry Paderon of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen, a free-will monetary collection will be taken up to benefit Catholic Relief Services’ Typhoon Haiyan Fund.
