Calvary Assembly Announces Christmas & New Years Services

SPRINGFIELD — Calvary Assembly of God will hold special services to celebrate Christmas and New Years.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. the church will hold a candlelight Christmas Eve Communion service to celebrate the birth of Jesus as God’s Christmas gift to us.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 8 p.m. the church will offer a service of praise, Testimony and encouragement from God’s Word. Reflect on God’s faithfulness in 2013 and his promises for the year ahead. After the service, have dinner in Fellowship Hall. Shortly before midnight, gather for prayer to bring in the new year.

Calvary Assembly will not hold evening services on Sundays Dec. 22 and Dec. 29, and Wednesdays Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

The church, located at 242 Shunpike Road, Springfield, is affiliated with Assemblies of God, headquartered in Springfield, MO. Rev. John W. Bechtel is the pastor, and Rev. Joshua Bechtel is the assistant pastor and worship leader.
